Poly Vee Belts
Poly V-Belts
(RIB) have four sections - the covering fabric, cushion rubber, the tensile
cord and the compression rubber. The big difference between the two belts
is in the profile. The RIB belt is ribbed, wider and thinner, which gives
it greater flexibility around smaller pulleys. It was designed to run off
the backside of the belt as well as the ribs. This allows the RIB belt to
power "serpentine" drivers - drives that require power to be transmitted
from both sides of the belt.
COVER
COMPOUND : Oil, ozone and abrasion resistant compound made out of chloroprene
rubber for long trouble free operation.
CUSHION
RUBBER : Strong adherence to the tension member and keeps it at correct position.
TENSION
CORD : Composed of special cord with high tensile strength and low elongation.
COMPRESSION
RUBBER : Fiber reinforced, truncated rib profile for higher load-carrying
capacity and better wear
